Merge Dig Simulator Coin Farming Strategies
Turn every login into a measurable coins-per-minute improvement.
Coins are the engine of Merge Dig Simulator. Every merge, every unlock, every upgrade costs coins. The faster you accumulate them intelligently, the faster you climb the pickaxe ladder toward the Secret rainbow tool. This page is the coin side of the loop. For the spending side, see upgrade tier list and fast progression.
What determines your coin rate
Your coins per minute depends on three numbers:
- Damage per swing — set by pickaxe level and merge tier
- Swings per second — determined by how many orbiting pickaxes you have and whether you are standing close enough for all of them to hit
- Coin multiplier — Premium (+10%), Coin Potion (×2 for its duration), and any pet equipment bonuses
None of these improve if you are standing in the Shop menu. The entire coin rate depends on being on the cube field and swinging.
Wall positioning
The green cube wall is not just decoration — it is the ore that converts swings into coins. Official screenshots consistently show an avatar facing a dense field of bright green cubes on a brown floor. That is the farming ground.
Stand close enough that all orbiting pickaxes collide with the wall. If your tools are swinging at air, step forward. If you cannot see chip particles flying from the cubes, the camera angle is wrong or you moved out of range.
Moving deeper into a wall section matters. Dense cubes pay more than sparse ones. When a section thins out, walk forward into fresh cubes rather than waiting for the existing ones to regenerate.
Potion timing
A Coin Potion doubles your coin output for approximately ten minutes. Using that window in the Shop menu wastes the entire buff. The correct sequence:
- Confirm you are on a dense cube wall
- Open Shop → Potions → activate the Coin Potion
- Close Shop immediately
- Mine with full focus until the timer ends
Do not browse, do not check cosmetics, do not invite a friend who is not ready to mine. A ten-minute potion is roughly six hundred seconds. Every second spent outside the wall is a second of lost double coins.
Server selection
Full eight-player servers look social but can tank your frames. Mobile players suffer first. If you notice swings not connecting or hits failing to register, the server may be oversaturated.
The lobby system does not guarantee an empty server. Hopping to a different server is a legitimate farming tactic when lag costs more than whatever invite bonus you are collecting. Coins you cannot collect do not count.
Quiet two-to-three player instances consistently outperform full servers for focused individual farming. Treat the eight-player cap as a social feature, not a farming requirement.
Optimal session structure
A coin-maximizing login follows this order:
- Confirm title: Merge & Dig! by Merge Diggers, place 106480700466481
- Redeem any live codes (currently
Release) — how to redeem - Walk directly to the cube wall
- Activate Coin Potion if you have one
- Mine until the potion ends or you can afford your next duplicate
- Buy the duplicate, merge immediately
- Resume mining at the higher damage tier
Repeating this cycle compounds your baseline. Each merge raises your damage multiplier. Each potion window at a higher tier pays more than the last.
AFK considerations
The game does not promise offline earnings. If you walk away from the device, assume coins stop. A short break against the cube wall with tools already orbiting is a pause, not a farm.
Community scripts that claim AFK mining exist but carry ban risk and violate the terms of service. The auto-merge scripts page covers why those tools create more problems than they solve. No script is worth the account.
When coins feel slow
Slow coin accumulation usually traces to one of these:
- No duplicate pickaxes merged yet (low damage tier)
- Coin Potion sitting unused in inventory
- Standing off the cube wall or in a sparse area
- Full server with visible lag
- Shopping instead of mining during an active potion
Check how to mine for a deeper wall guide and session checklist for the login routine that prevents these stalls.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What gives the most coins per minute?
A high-level pickaxe on a dense cube wall with an active Coin Potion. Damage tier matters more than anything else — merge toward Diamond and beyond first.
Should I stay in a full server to earn more?
Only if hits still register. Lag costs coins. Quiet servers with two to three players typically farm better than full eight-player instances.
How do I use the Coin Potion correctly?
Stand on the cube wall, open Shop → Potions, activate the potion, close Shop, then mine without opening anything else for the full duration.
Is there AFK coin earning?
The public listing does not document offline income. Scripts that claim AFK farming carry ban risk. Park on the wall for short breaks only.
