How to Redeem Merge Dig Simulator Codes
Shop path, Potions tab, and the mistakes that make Release look expired.
Redeeming a Merge Dig Simulator code is a Shop action, not a chat command and not a Roblox website field. If you type Release into the experience chat, nothing happens. If you paste it into the Roblox redeem-code box on the website, you are in the wrong product. This page is only for Merge & Dig! on Roblox.
The live string and reward sit on the codes hub. Come back here when the Shop UI hides on a phone or a code returns an error you do not recognize.
Before you open Shop
Wait until your avatar and at least one pickaxe have finished loading. Codes that fire during the spawn fade sometimes fail silently. If you just joined from a friend’s server, give the world a second to replicate — max player count is eight, but a busy eight-player tile can still hitch on mobile.
Also finish the two free flags first: like the experience and join Merge Diggers. Those rewards are not codes, but they are easy to forget once you are staring at the Codes tab.
Desktop and console path
- Click or press the on-screen Shop button after spawn.
- Find the tab labeled Codes (not the pickaxe list, not upgrades).
- Select the text field. Paste
Releaseor type it. - Confirm with Verify / Redeem.
- Leave the Codes tab. Open Potions.
- Activate the Coin Potion, close Shop, and start mining.
Console players should use the on-screen cursor if the Shop is a GUI billboard. If a trigger opens a different vendor, close it and look for the HUD Shop rather than a cave NPC — this experience is a simulator HUD, not a classic shopkeeper.
Mobile path
Thumbs cover the lower HUD. Shop is usually a side or corner button, not the jump button. After you open it:
- Swipe the tab row until Codes is visible. The first tab is often pickaxes or coins, so it is easy to miss.
- Tap the input once, then paste from the clipboard. Roblox mobile keyboards love to insert a trailing space.
- After a success toast, swipe to Potions before you close the menu. Closing Shop does not auto-activate the potion.
If the keyboard covers the Redeem button, collapse it and tap Redeem immediately. Leaving the field with an unsubmitted string is the most common “it did nothing” report.
After a successful redeem
A Coin Potion is inventory, not an instant coin dump. You still have to:
- Activate it.
- Mine blocks while the roughly ten-minute window is live.
- Merge matching pickaxes with the extra coins instead of banking them.
- Spend according to the upgrade tier list, not the first shiny unlock.
If you redeem and then AFK in the cave mouth, you wasted the only public code. Use the session checklist so potion time and merge time overlap.
Error messages and what they usually mean
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid / not found | Typo, extra space, or a code from another game | Paste Release from the codes list |
| Already redeemed | This account already used it | Stop retrying; one potion per account |
| Expired | The launch code finally closed | Check updates and Discord |
| No response | Redeem never submitted, or spawn not finished | Reload, wait for pickaxes, tap Redeem again |
| Wrong menu | Chat or Roblox website redeem | Use in-game Shop → Codes |
Never share your account to “test a code.” Codes do not require a second login.
Codes versus scripts
A working code is a developer gift. A community script that auto-types codes or auto-farms is a terms-of-service risk. If Release fails, the answer is not an executor — it is a typo, an expired string, or the wrong game. Keep the scripts hub for feature research, not as a backup redeem method.
A first-session redeem order that works
Spawn → like + group join → Shop Codes (Release) → Potions on → mine a coin stack → merge your first duplicate pair → buy the next pickaxe unlock, not a cosmetic. That order is also the spine of getting started and fast progression. If you only remember one rule: the potion timer is mining time, not shopping time.
New strings will use this same Shop path. When Discord posts a code that is not Release, add it on the hub, then redeem with these exact taps so you do not invent a second menu that does not exist.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where is the Codes tab in Merge Dig Simulator?
Inside the in-game Shop after your pickaxes load. It is a Shop tab, not Roblox chat and not the website redeem box.
I entered Release and got nothing.
Check for a trailing space, confirm you tapped Redeem, then look in Potions. A successful code grants a potion, not a pile of coins on the floor.
Can I redeem on mobile?
Yes. Open Shop, swipe to Codes, paste, redeem, then swipe to Potions before closing the menu. The experience supports phones, tablets, consoles, and PC.
Does Premium change how codes work?
No. Premium adds +10% coins while you mine. You still redeem Release the same way. See the group and Premium guide.
