Merge Dig Simulator Upgrade Tier List

What to buy — and which “upgrades” are just account flags or traps.

Upgrade Tier List

An upgrade in Merge Dig Simulator is anything that raises coins per minute or shortens the time to a duplicate pickaxe. Some of those things are Shop rows. Some are Roblox account flags. This list mixes both on purpose, because new players treat Premium like a pickaxe and treat likes like flavor text.

Pickaxe names stay on the pickaxe tier list. This page is everything else you might spend clicks or Robux on.

S — Coin Potion (from codes) and duplicate purchases

The only public code, Release, grants a Coin Potion: about ten minutes of double coins. That is the strongest timed upgrade in the game today. Activate it on a wall, not in a menu. See code rewards and how to mine.

Buying a second copy of your current pickaxe is also S. It is an upgrade that permanently changes the merge ladder. If the Shop’s first row is a twin, that row beats a flashy new name.

A — Like, group join, and staying on the cube wall

Free. Permanent (or at least long-lived) exclusives from the listing. Full walkthrough: group and Premium. A-tier also includes the non-purchase “upgrade” of standing close enough that orbiting tools hit — positioning is a multiplier with a cost of zero Robux.

B — Roblox Premium and invite rewards

Premium: +10% coins. Honest, small, always on while subscribed. Invites: extra listing rewards inside an eight-player cap. Both are B because they help a correct plan and cannot save an incorrect one. If you never merge, +10% of a starter trickle is still a trickle.

C — Quality-of-life shop rows

If the live HUD sells extra inventory space, a clearer merge prompt, or a mild luck roll, those are C: buy when twins are already funded. We will not fake an “auto-merge level 6” row that belongs to another tycoon. If your Shop literally contains auto-merge or luck-merge, treat auto-merge as A and luck-merge as B until we rerank after a patch note.

D — Cosmetics, impulse Robux, and executors

Trails, name colors, and “PRO” bundles that do not add a matching pickaxe name. Also D: community scripts that auto-tap the wall. Speed that risks the account is not an upgrade. The scripts hub exists so you can read features without treating them as S-tier strategy.

A buy script for Shop itself

Open Shop with a number in mind: “this many coins to a twin.” If the twin is affordable, buy it and leave. If not, close Shop and mine. The Codes tab is only for strings from the codes hub. The Potions tab is only for firing S-tier timers. Treat every other tab as guilty until it funds a merge.

Upgrades versus progression pages

This list answers “is this worth coins?” Fast progression answers “in what order this hour?” Getting started answers “what is a Shop?” If you are still lost in tabs, you do not have an upgrade problem — you have a HUD problem, which is controls.

When Discord drops a new potion type, it will enter this table at S or A based on duration and whether it doubles coins or only luck. Until a second item exists, do not hoard mystery currencies for a tree we have not seen.

Spend like a miner who has to double a Diamond tomorrow, not like a collector filling a case.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best upgrade to buy first?

A duplicate of your current pickaxe, after you have redeemed and planned the Coin Potion. Cosmetics wait.

Is Premium S-tier?

B-tier. +10% coins is real but small next to merging and potions. Details in group and Premium.

Are likes an upgrade?

Yes, in ranking terms — a free exclusive from the listing. Like the Roblox page, do not type LIKE as a code.

Where do potions rank?

Coin Potions from codes are S-tier timed upgrades. Fire them on the cube wall.
